Our facility was a greasy 2400 square foot Napa Auto Parts and engine rebuilding shop for many years before we took over the space in 1994. Gary was the architectural designer and Gary and Cindy were the General Contractors for the build-up. We gutted the existing space and built up the store interior from the ground up minimizing the shared walls with each listening room in order to maximize the sound isolation from room-to-room during auditions. Our construction method was wood framing with brick, sheet rock and plaster. We chose this method because these materials are commonly found in everyone’s homes and we wanted to recreate not only the same resonant characteristics but the same “home-like” visual appearance. We carefully designed our electrical schematic knowing that the electrical design is a foundational aspect of system design. Our rooms are small to extra large volumes of space in order to demonstrate correct speaker matching within a given room size.

We didn’t want sales counters, but there needed to be plants, soft lighting, comfortable chairs, sofas and art. Cindy’s interior designing skills have successfully created the relaxed and elegant atmosphere of The Audio Gallery. The ability to correctly integrate the highest quality of sound with the mechanical, electrical and interior design aspects of a listening environment is the expertise we offer our customers.
